I took a sample of 150 podcasts across accounting, AEC, and legal industries. A whopping 70% had only one host! 

Personally, I've hosted four podcasts; two were solo shows, and two were co-hosted with a colleague. There are pros and cons to each format, but I found co-hosting a podcast to be much more enjoyable.
